Who we are

Artisan Coffee Bar and Restaurant is operated by Veraline, Aula / Rautenbach Hall, University Road, Hatfield Campus, University of Pretoria. Phone 082 924 0689, email veraline.acs@gmail.com. The owner is our Information Officer and handles all privacy requests.

What we collect

Only what you type into the catering quote form: your name, organisation, email, phone number, event details, venue address, and any dietary needs or allergies you tell us about. We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and plan, deliver and set up your event. Allergy and dietary information is used only to keep your guests safe. We don't sell your details or send marketing unless you ask us to.

Where it is kept

When you send the quote form, your answers are emailed to us through Web3Forms and a copy is kept for up to one year by Cloudflare, our website host. Both services run on servers outside South Africa (mainly in the United States) and protect data under their own privacy and security commitments; we use them only to receive your enquiry. While you fill in the form, your answers are also saved in your own browser so you don't lose them; they are cleared when you send the form and never leave your device until then.

How long we keep it

For as long as we need it to quote, run and invoice your event, and as long as the law requires us to keep business records. After that we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email or call us, or tell us at the counter. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

Food, allergens and dietary requests

Our kitchen handles gluten, nuts, dairy, eggs, soy, sesame and other allergens. We prepare dietary and allergy requests with care, but we can't guarantee any dish is free of traces. Menu items, prices and availability may change. Please speak to us directly about severe allergies or certification you require. Our kitchen is not halal certified; items marked halal-sourced use meat bought from halal-certified suppliers.
